A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
GIFT OF $1.000 FROM THE WAL-MART WEST,
OCEANSIDE STORE TO THE ADULT LITERACY
PROGRAM OF THE CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY
AND, APPROPRIATING DONATION TO THE
ADULT LEARNING PROGRAM MISCELLANEOUS
OUTSIDE SERVICES ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, The Wal-Mart West, Oceanside store has donated $1,000 to
the Adult Literacy Program of the Carlsbad City Library, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift to the Adult
Literacy Program of the Carlsbad City Library;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $1000 from the Wal-Mart
West, Oceanside store on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and
hereby appropriates these funds to the Adult Learning Program
Miscellaneous Outside Services account..
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 24th day of
SEPTEMBER , 2002, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Fi
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Members Kulch
