CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2002-325
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING $2,572 FROM THE HOUSING TRUST FUND
FOR THE SAN DIEGO REGIONAL COLD WEATHER SHELTER VOUCHER
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO FORWARD THE
APPROPRIATION TO THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to cooperate with other local agencies to address the
;helter needs of homeless persons and families; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego is requesting assistance in funding a Cold Weather
Voucher Program to provide emergency shelter for homeless families, disabled individuals and the elderly
luring the coming winter season;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council hereby appropriates $2,572 from the Housing Trust Fund for the San
liego Regional Cold Weather Shelter Voucher Program and authorizes the City Manager to forward the
:ontribution to the County of San Diego.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
lalifornia, on the Xth day of NOVEMBER , 2002, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard, Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN None
