RESOLUTION NO. 2002-363
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
TRANSFERRING $25,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND
TO THE COMMUNITY ACTIVITY GRANT FUND
TO FUND THE
CARLSBAD VILLAGE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, provides an
opportunity for citizens and organizations to submit requests during the City’s budget process
for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Village Business Association submitted a request for
$25,000; and
WHEREAS, the Community Activity Grant funds are used to fund grant requests
from organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That $25,000 be transferred from the General Fund contingency account to the
Community Activity Grant fund.

3. That the Carlsbad Village Business Association is hereby granted $25,000 from
the Community Activity Grant fund for the 2002-03 fiscal year.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on the 17th day of DECEMBER , 2002 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard
NOES: Council Member Finnila
ABSENT: None
