RESOLUTION NO. 2003-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CARLSBAD
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE APPORPRIATION
OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad and Carlsbad Unified School District have
partnered on arts education grants for the past several years to develop and implement
an arts education plan; and
WHEREAS, as a part of the implementation of the plan, the Carlsbad Unified
School District has agreed to provide the City with $7,500 to continue to provide services
related to arts education programming in the William D. Cannon Gallery; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Carlsbad Unified School District have
entered into agreement to outline the services to be provided by the City; and
WHEREAS, the funds received will be Used to offset costs incurred for services provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That payment in the amount of $7,500 is accepted and the Finance Director is hereby
authorized to appropriate $7,500 into the applicable Arts Office account, 0014062 for the
uses described herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 4th day of FEBRUARY , 200 by the
following vote, to wit:
