RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE
36 STRATFORD LANE FROM RENATE PIETSCH, HEIDI
PYLE, AND EDWARD ZORN, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
FOR PURCHASE, REPORTS AND SURVEYS, AND THE
PAYMENT OF FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROPERTY
PURCHASE AND TRANSFER OF INTEREST IN APN 156-164-
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City to acquire APN 156-164-36 on Stratford Lane in Carlsbad, California, from
the Renate Pietsh, Heidi Pyle and Edward Zorn; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that it accepts a purchase price of
$235,000 for the property; with an additional $1 0,000 for fees and other costs associated with the
purchase; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this property is contingent upon the finding of consistency
with the Carlsbad General Plan and completion of due diligence by the City of Carlsbad.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute all documents associated with the
purchase and transfer of interest in APN 156-164-36 Stratford Lane to the
City of Carlsbad.
3. That an appropriation of $245,000 for purchase of the property, including all
associated fees and expenses is authorized from the City Council’s
Contingency Account Fund balance.
