RESOLUTION NO. 2003-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
THECONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRE STATION NO. 5 STORAGE
FACILITY AND SKATE PARK RESTROOMS, PROJECT NO. 3688,
AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
iecessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Fire Station No. 5 Storage Facility
md Skate Park Restrooms, Project No. 3688; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications to construct the Fire Station No. 5 Storage
Facility and Skate Park Restrooms, Project No. 3688, have been prepared and are on file in the
Public Works-Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by
reference; and
WHEREAS, to fund the estimated construction costs of the project requires additional
appropriations in the amount of $1 00,000 from the General Capital Construction Fund; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient General Capital Construction Funds available for the
additional appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the Fire Station No. 5
Storage Facility and Skate Park Restrooms, Project No. 3688, on file in the Public Works-
Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad are hereby approved.
3. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate additional funds in the
amount of $ 100,000 from the General Capital Construction Fund to the Project No. 3688 account.

4. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
n accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of the
-ire Station No. 5 Storage Facility and Skate Park Restrooms, Project No. 3688, in accordance
Nith the plans, specifications, and contract documents referred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
qeld on the 15th day of April , 2003 by the following vote, to wit:
