RESOLUTION NO. 200 3- 316
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE
CALIFORNIA LIBRARY LITERACY SERVICE,
APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS AND ALLOCATING THE
ADULT LEARNING PROGRAM’S GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT.
ACCRUED INTEREST FROM THE 2002-2003 GRANT TO THE
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program provides training to meet
the literacy needs of adults; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program supports the goals of the
City Council and the objectives of the Library; and
WHEREAS, the California State Library is providing additional support for the Library Adult
Learning Program with grant funds in the amount of $28,851 .OO;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That state funds in the amount of $28,851.00 are hereby appropriated to the Library
2003-2004 Literacy Grant Account.
3. That accrued interest from the 2002-2003 account is hereby appropriated to account #
001 -4055-7550.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of December , 2003, by the following
vote, to wit:
