RESOLUTION NO. 2004-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A GIFT OF $1,250 FROM CLIFFORD R. CANNON
AND APPROPRIATING DONATION TO THE LIBRARY GIFTS
AND BEQUESTS FUND.
WHEREAS, Mr. Clifford R. Cannon has donated $1,250 to the library, and;
WHEREAS, Mr. Cannon has requested the money be used for the purchase of
an 1 I-volume set of The Diary of Samuel Pepys to be added to the collection and the
library has agreed to his request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $1,250 from Mr. Clifford R. Cannon
on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates these funds to
the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 13th day
Df January , 2004, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila Kulchin, Hall a&Packard
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
