RESOLUTION NO. 2004-089
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
STATE LIBRARY FOR THE 2004/2005 PUBLIC LIBRARY
STAFF EDUCATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library meets the eligibility criteria to apply for funds
under the 2004/2005 Public Library Staff Education Program; and
WHEREAS, the goals of the City Council and the objectives of the Library support
learning; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library has library school students who wish to
compete for the tuition assistance funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That Library Director is authorized to apply to the California State Library for
a grant on behalf of these employees.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad held the Gdday of March , 2004, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Hall and Packard.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Kulchin
