RESOLUTION NO. 2004-138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS,
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2004105 PAVEMENT OVERLAY
PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 3667-9.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
ary, desirable, and in the public interest to overlay selected streets in accordance with the
City’s ongoing Pavement Management Program and repair selected concrete median, curb and
gutter and sidewalks in accordance with the City’s ongoing Street Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2004105 Pavement
Overlay Project, Project No. 3667-9, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works-
Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $1,300,000 need to be appropriated from
the Gas Tax Fund in order to construct Project No. 3667-9; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the 2004/05 Pavement
Overlay Project, Project No. 3667-9, on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department of the
City of Carlsbad, are hereby approved.
3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $1,300,000 from the
Gas Tax Fund for construction of Project No. 3667-9.

4. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
I accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of the
!004/05 Pavement Overlay Project, Project No. 3667-9, in accordance with the plans,
;pecifications, and contract documents referred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
ield on the 27th day of Apr i 1 , 2003 by the following vote, to wit:
