HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-06-01; City Council; Resolution 2004-1761 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 2004-176 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, RECREATION DIRECTOR AND CARRILLO RANCH RECREATION AREA MANAGER TO TRAVEL TO WASHINGTON D.C. TO ACCEPT A PRESERVATION AWARD ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FROM THE NATIONAL TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION. CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL FOR THE WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to authorize out-of-state travel for the Recreation Department to accept a preservation award on behalf of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that this is in support of the City’s ongoing restoration efforts at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park ; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2003-04 Recreation Department contingency budget for the requested out-of-state travel. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with City policy for the Recreation Director and Carrillo Ranch Recreation Area Manager to travel to Washington D.C. to accept a preservation award from the National Trust. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 1st dayof June ,2004 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Kulchin, Hall and Packard /7 ATTEST WOOD, City Clerk EXHIBIT 1
