RESOLUTION NO. 2004-208
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS, APPROVING
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE HIGHLAND DRIVE
STORM DRAIN REPLACEMENT, PROJECT NO. 39051.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to replace the Highland Drive Storm Drain; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the Highland Drive
Storm Drain Replacement, Project No. 39051, have been prepared and are on file in the
Public Works-Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by
reference; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $194,000 needs to be appropriated from the
Planned Local Drainage Area “A Fee Fund; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the Highland Drive
Storm Drain Replacement, Project No. 39051, on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department
of the City of Carlsbad, are hereby approved.
3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $194,000 from the
Planned Local Drainage Area “A Fee Fund.

4. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of the
Highland Drive Storm Drain Replacement, Project No. 39051, in accordance with the plans,
specifications, and contract documents referred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 22nd day of June , 2004 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Kulchin, Hall and Packard
