RESOLUTION NO 2004-257
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $3,000
FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE CARLSBAD LIBRARY TO THE
CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY FOR THE CARLSBAD READS
TOGETHER PROGRAM AND APPROPRIATING THE DONATION
TO THE LIBRARY'S FRIENDS DONATIONS FUND
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library is sponsoring a community-wide reading
Irogram, CARLSBAD READS TOGETHER, featuring T.C. Boyle's book, The tortilla curtain;
ind
WHEREAS, The Friends of the Carlsbad Library have donated $3,000 to the Library to
:over the costs related to the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
:arkbad, California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the City Council accepts the gift of $3,000 from the Friends
)f the Library on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates these funds to the
.ibrary's Friends Donations Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
:ouncil of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 3rd day of
Auqust , 2004, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Kulchin, Hall and Packard
NOES: None
