A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM
PETER AND MARSHA BERTINO TO THE CARLSBAD
CITY LIBRARY AND APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS TO
THE LIBRARY GIFTS AND BEQUESTS FUND
WHEREAS, Peter and Marsha Bertino have donated $1,000 to the Carlsbad City
Library in memory of his sister, Laura M. Bertino, for the purchase of books for the
Georgina Cole Library; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad accepts this gift to the Carlsbad City Library and
appropriates the funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $1,000 from Peter and Marsha
Bertino on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates the
donation to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 5th day of
October , 2004, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lew and Packard.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
