RESOLUTION NO. 2004-340
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EL
CAMINO REAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE
INTERSECTIONS OF HOSP WAY, MARRON ROAD AND PLAZA
DRIVE, PROJECT 3899-1.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
iecessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the El Camino Real traffic signal
mprovements at the intersections of Hosp Way, Marron Road and Plaza Drive; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
3quipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental of said project have been
irepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are
ncorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, said project was included in the 200312004 Capital Improvement Program;
and
WHEREAS, the Transnet Local fund includes sufficient funds to construct this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
=alifornia, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the plans, specifications and contract documents on file in the Engineering
Department of the City of Carlsbad are hereby approved.

3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
I accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of the El
:amino Real traffic signal improvements at intersections of Hosp Way, Marron Road and Plaza
hive, Project No. 3899-1, in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents
eferred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
ield on the 26th day of October , 2004 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Elenbers Lewis, Finnila, Kulchin, Hall and Packard.
NOES: None
