RESOLUTION NO. 2005-048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000
AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Teresa M. Cannon has generously donated $10,000 to be used for the
Three-Part-Art Program of the Cannon Gallery; and
WHEREAS this funding will support an educational outreach program designed to
introduce third and fourth-graders from Carlsbad to the experience of interacting with and
learning from original works of art in a museum setting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That donation from Mrs. Teresa M. Cannon in the amount of $10,000 is hereby
accepted.
3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate the $10,000 in the Arts
Education General Fund org key.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad on the 1st day of MARCH , 2005, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Hall
