RESOLUTION NO. 2005-068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT FOR THE WORKF'ORCE HOUSING REWARD PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, Proposition 46, the Housing and Emergency Shelter Trust Fund Act of 2002, allows
cities and counties to apply for grant funds through the Workforce Housing Reward (WFH) Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California is entitled to receive an allocation of WFH Program
hnds based on the number of building permits issued for affordable units in 2004; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Housing and Redevelopment Department is authorized to submit a grant application
to the California Housing and Community Development Department for the Workforce
Housing Reward Program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, held on the 15 t h day of March, 2005, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose
