HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-04-05; City Council; Resolution 2005-1011 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 15 18 1s 2c 21 2; 2: 2L 2: 2t 2' 22 Exhibit 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-101 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING TWO (2) REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE CITY OF CARLSBAD TO ATTEND THE INTERNATIONAL CITY MANAGERS ASSOCIATION BEST PRACTICES CONFERENCE WHICH WILL BE HELD IN AUSTIN, TEXAS WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has had experience in developing and applying performance measurement systems; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has been requested by the International City Managers Association (ICMA) to present our experience at its from April 26 to April 28,2005 Best Practices Conference; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is committed to improving the effectiveness of local government; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has currently authorized three (3) members of the Performance Measurement Team to attend Best Practices; and WHEREAS, the increased cost incurred from the trip will be funded from the existing City Manager's budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct 2. Authorizes two (2) additional city representatives to attend the ICMA Best Practices Conference to be held in Austin, Texas PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad onthe 5th dayof APRIL , 2005, by the following vote: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard , Sigaf oose NOES: None ABSENT: N~~~ ATTEST: (SEAL) 2
