RESOLUTION NO.2006-006
ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF $20,000 TO THE
CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY AND APPROPRIATING
THE DONATION TO THE LIBRARY GIFTS AND
BEQUESTS ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, George and Patricia Gowland have donated $20,000 to the
Carlsbad City Library for the expansion of the collection; and
WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to accept this gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $20,000 from George and
Patricia Gowland on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby
appropriates these funds to the Library gifts and bequests
account.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the i?th day of
January , 2006, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
