RESOLUTION NO. 2006-0571
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
3 APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
STATE LIBRARY FOR THE 2006/2007 PUBLIC LIBRARY
4 STAFF EDUCATION PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library meets the eligibility criteria to apply for funds6
7 under the 2006/2007 Public Library Staff Education Program; and
8 WHEREAS, the goals of the City Council and the objectives of the Library support
learning; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library has library school students who wish to
compete for the tuition assistance funds.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California as follows:14
15 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
16 2. That Library Director is authorized to apply to the California State Library for
17 a grant on behalf of these employees.
18 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
19 the City of Carlsbad held theuthdav of March 2006, by the following vote, to wit:
