2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A MEMBER
3 TO THE CITIZENS' COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE
4 FLOWER FIELDS AND STRAWBERRY FIELDS AREA
BETWEEN CANNON ROAD AND PALOMAR AIRPORT
5 ROAD.
6 WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of April 18, 2006, adopted Resolution No.
7 2006-103, establishing a 25 member Ad Hoc Citizens' Committee to Study the Flower Fields
o0 and Strawberry Fields Area between Cannon Road and Palomar Airport Road; and
9 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2006-103 set forth the duties and responsibilities of

members and established the meeting schedule for the Committee; and
11
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2006-103 also set forth the deadline of July 18, 2006, by
12
which the Committee shall conclude its business and forward the results of its deliberations to13
the City Council; and
^5 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2006-103 established the method by which members will be
16 appointed to serve on the Committee.
17 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2006-112 amended Resolution No. 2006-103 to expand the
18 committee to 31 Members of the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee (Committee).
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
20 California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That this resolution amends Resolution No. 2006-112 to remove Debbie Hollabaugh
24 and Katie Butler as members of the Committee and to appoint Leslea Meyerhoff and
25 Laura Means Pope as the replacements on the Committee.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad on the 16th day of May , 2006, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose
