1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL DIRECTING STAFF
TO CONTINUE TO IMPLEMENT THE EARLY PUBLIC NOTICE
2 PROGRAM AND TO CODIFY THE PROGRAM AS A PART OF
THE UPDATE TO TITLE 21.
3 CASE NAME: EARLY PUBLIC NOTICE PROGRAM

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby resolve as
5 follows:
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on the 19th day
7 of September 2006, received a one year assessment of the pilot Early Public Notice
8 Program from City staff; and

WHEREAS, the program has been very effective in educating the public about
and soliciting early public input on neighborhood development proposals, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
4 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That the City Council adopts Resolution No. 2006-273 directing staff
to continue to implement the Early Public Notice Program and that this Program be
subsequently codified as a part of the update to Title 21.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 19th day of September, 2006, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose
NOES: None
