A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE 2007 CONCRETE
4 REPLACEMENT. PROJECT NO. 60062.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
6 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to replace damaged concrete in accordance with
7 the City's ongoing street maintenance program; and
8 WHEREAS, the contract and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
9 equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2007 Concrete
10 Replacement, Project No. 60062, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works-
11 Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
12 WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Program funds are available in the amount of
13 $250,000 for completion of the concrete repairs; therefore, additional funds will be requested, if
14 necessary, at the time the construction contract is awarded; and
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
16 California, as follows:
17 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
18 2. That the specifications and contract documents for the 2007 Concrete
19 Replacement, Project No. 60062, are on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department of the
20 City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
21 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
22 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
23 the 2007 Concrete Replacement, Project No. 60062, in accordance with the specifications
24 and contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 14th day of November, 2006, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose
