A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZATION TO APPROPRIATE
ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR POINSETTIA LIFT STATION ODOR AND
4 NOISE ABATEMENT. PROJECT NO. 3875. ,.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, desires to replace the
6 existing pumps at the existing sewage lift station and install improvements to control the odor
7 and reduce the noise currently produced by the lift station; and
8 WHEREAS, Project No. 3875 was scheduled to occur in fiscal year 2007-2008; and
9 WHEREAS, an early start to this project is being requested to ensure there are no
10 operational problems and to promote "good neighbor" policy and a higher level of service to
1 1 adjacent residents; and
^2 WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it necessary and in the public interest to
,.„ move the project forward in the Capital Improvement Program and appropriate funds; and
WHEREAS, additional funds totaling $505,000 are needed at this time to begin this
project prior to fiscal year 2007-2008 for Project No. 3875; and10
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

., Q 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.To
19 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate $505,000 from the Sewer
2Q Replacement fund to cover engineering design and construction services for Project No. 3875,
21 and delete the CIP funding.for year 2007-2008.

of the City of Carlsbad on the 14th day of November, 2006, by the following vote:
