HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-11-21; City Council; Resolution 2006-343i 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO.2006-343 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING PUBLIC COMMENTS AND APPROVING THE 2007-2008 CDBG/HOME PROGRAM FUNDING PLAN; APPROVING THE CDBG/HOME APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS; AND AUTHORIZING DISTRIBUTION OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE 2007-2008 CDBG/HOME PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California, is entitled to a new allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for fiscal year 2007-2008; and, WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California is entitled to an allocation of HOME Investment Partnership funds for the fiscal year 2007-2008 as a member of the San Diego County HOME Consortium; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held a public hearing to consider the distribution of a "Request for Proposals" for a 2007-2008 CDBG/HOME Program and the required documents for development and implementation of the 2007-2008 CDBG/HOME Program; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That staff of the Housing and Redevelopment Department is authorized to distribute a "Request for Proposals" for the City of Carlsbad's 2007-2008 CDBG/HOME Program. 3. That the City Council approves the 2007-2008 CDBG/HOME Funding Plan, required by federal regulations, for Carlsbad's CDBG/HOME Program. 4. That the City Council approves the proposed CDBG/HOME Application Review Process. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 21st day of November, 2006, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None ATTEST: S, Mayor LORRAINE M.
