1 RESOLUTION NO. 2006-358
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
3 PURCHASE OF EIGHT POLICE PATROL VEHICLES

5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad wishes to purchase eight patrol vehicles, and;
6 WHEREAS, Section 3.28.090 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code provides that the
7 City may participate in cooperative purchasing programs with other public agencies,
8 and;
9
WHEREAS, the City of San Diego received bids to purchase patrol vehicles
10 which included a public agency clause, and;
11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
12
Carlsbad as follows:13
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. The Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase
16 order to Villa Ford in the amount of $183,307.30 plus sales tax.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 12th day of December, 2006, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Kulchin, Packard, Sigafoose.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
