A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF CARLSBAD'S
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT/HOME INVESTMENT
PARTNERSHIP FUNDING ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR PROGRAM YEAR
2007-2008.

WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan for Carlsbad's Community Development Block Grant

(CDBG)/Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Program specifies the formation of a seven member
7
citizen advisory committee to make recommendations regarding CDBG funding allocations to the City
8
Council; and
9
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan further specifies that the City Council shall appoint
10
seven members to the CDBG Funding Advisory Committee with the following representation: one
11
Housing Commissioner, one Planning Commissioner, one Senior Commissioner, and four citizens-at-
12
large (one from each City Quadrant); and
13
WHEREAS, the City Council appointed Mike O'Connell, Sondra Boddy, and Susan Pynes to the
14
Advisory Committee for two-year terms on December 20, 2005, and all other Advisory Committee
15
Members from the 2006-2007 Program Year have completed or are unable to complete their two-year
16
terms.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the Mayor, subject to the majority concurrence of the City Council pursuant to CMC
Section 2.06.070, appoints the following members to the Advisory Committee for two year terms:
Planning Commission Representative Bill Dominguez
Northwest Quadrant Representative Elaine Nielson
Southeast Quadrant Representative Sharon Redsun
Southwest Quadrant Representative Dr. Gary Godward .
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, held on the 9th day of January 200 , by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, Sigafoose
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN:
