2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING COUNCIL
3 POLICY NO.48 NAMING RIGHTS OF PARKS AND
4 MUNICIPAL FACILITIES.

WHEREAS, The Carlsbad City Council confirms the current practice of naming
6
parks, municipal facilities, and amenities within those facilities, after significant
7
geographical, neighborhood, and historic elements; and,8
~ WHEREAS, To recognize significant contributions that organizations or
10 individuals have made to the public life and well-being of the citizens of the City of
11 Carlsbad; and,
12 WHEREAS, The Carlsbad City Council wishes to expand the current practice of
13 naming parks to include all appropriate municipal facilities and amenities within a park
14 or municipal facility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
16
Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
19 2. That the City Council hereby approve the revision to Council Policy #48.
