1 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-012
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY FIVE
3 DOLLAR ($2,395) DONATION IN SUPPORT OF THE PURCHASE OF A PUBLIC
4 ACCESS DEFIBRILLATOR FOR LEO CARRILLO RANCH HISTORIC PARK.

WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the Friends of Carrillo Ranch, Inc.

donation totaling $2,395 in support of the purchase of a Public Access Defibrillator; and,
7
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support8
of contributors; Friends of Carrillo Ranch, Inc.; and,
10 WHEREAS, on October 16, 2006 the Parks and Recreation Commission
11 received a donation totaling $2,395 and recommended acceptance by the Council; and,
12 WHEREAS, the City agrees to match the donation in kind with an additional PAD
13 unit to be installed at a second location on the parks grounds;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

10 2. That the City Council does hereby accept the $2,395 donation and supportslo
19 the purchase of a Public Access Defibrillator for Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic
20 Park.
21 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate
9?the above funds into the Leo Carrillo Ranch Organization Key.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 23rd day of January, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Packard, Sigafoose.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Kulchin.
