A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A ONE
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR DONATION IN
4 SUPPORT OF THE PURCHASE OF A PUBLIC ACCESS
DEFIBRILLATOR FOR STAGECOACH COMMUNITY PARK

6 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the La Costa 35 Athletic Club
7
donation totaling $1,500 in support of the purchase of a Public Access Defibrillator; and
8
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support
9
of contributor; La Costa 35 Athletic Club; and,
10
WHEREAS, on October 16, 2006 the Parks and Recreation Commission
received a donation totaling $1,500 and recommended acceptance by the Council; and,
13 WHEREAS, the City agrees to pay the remaining purchase amount for the PAD
14 unit to be installed at the Stagecoach Community Park snack bar facility;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
16 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
17 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council does hereby accept the $1,500 donation and support
the purchase of a Public Access Defibrillator for Stagecoach Community
21 Park.
22 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
23 appropriate the above funds into the Recreation Trust Account.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of February, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Sigafoose.
