2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND
3 APPROPRIATING TWO DONATIONS TO THE
4 CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY
5 WHEREAS, the Slaggie Family Foundation has donated $500 in honor of
, Carlsbad residents, Tom and Michelle Schlehuber, and the Carlsbad Lions Club has6
donated $1,000 to the City for the Carlsbad City Library, and;
WHEREAS, the Slaggie Family Foundation has specified that the funds be used
8 to support ongoing programs at the Carlsbad City Library; and
9 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Lions Club has specified its donation be used for
lO materials for the visually impaired;
n NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
12 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
13 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
14 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $500 from the Slaggie Family
Foundation and $1,000 from the Carlsbad Lions Club, on behalf of all citizens
16 of Carlsbad, and hereby authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate these
17
funds to the Library' budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 12th day of June. 2007, by the following vote to wit:
