HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-07-24; City Council; Resolution 2007-1931 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-193 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3" 4 5 6 7 8 10 11 12 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POINSETTIA LANE AND BLACK RAIL ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNAL, PROJECT NO. 3939-1. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct a traffic signal at the intersection of Poinsettia Lane and Black Rail Road; and WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental of said project have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein; and 13 WHEREAS, said project was included in the 2006/2007 Capital Improvement Program; 14 and WHEREAS, the GCC fund includes sufficient funds to construct this project; and 16 WHEREAS, $49,582 has been collected from private developers and deposited into the 17 GCC fund. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, 19 California, as follows: 20 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 21 2. That the plans, specifications and contract documents on file in the Engineering 22 Department of the City of Carlsbad are hereby approved. 23 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to 24 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of 25 the Poinsettia Lane and Black Rail Road Traffic Signal, Project No. 3939-1, in accordance with the 26 plans, specifications, and contract documents referred to herein. 27 /// 28 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 24th day of July, 2007, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Council Members Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
