CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL
REQUEST FOR ONE DESIGNATED ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
STAFF MEMBER TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL HANSEN NETWORK
2007 CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS. NEVADA.

WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to authorize
6
out-of-state travel for one designated City staff member to attend the annual Hansen Network
7
2007 Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada; and
8
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that this is an opportunity to obtain valuable
9
education; and
10
WHEREAS, funds are available in the amount of $1,600 in the FY 2007-2008
Engineering Department budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows:14
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.15
2. That permission is granted for one designated Engineering Department staff16
member to travel out-of-state to attend this conference.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 24th day of July, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Lewis.
