A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CYNTHIA LANE STORM DRAIN,
4 PROJECT NO. 6601.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
6 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Cynthia Lane Storm Drain,
7 Project No. 6601; and
8 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
9 equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the Cynthia Lane Storm
10 Drain, Project No. 6601, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works-Engineering
11 Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
12 WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Program funds are available in the amount of
13 $253,750 for completion of the Project; and
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
15 California, as follows:
16 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
17 2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the Cynthia Lane
18 Storm Drain, Project No. 6601, are on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department of the
19 City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
20 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
21 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
22 the Cynthia Lane Storm Drain, Project No. 6601, in accordance with the plans, specifications,
23 and contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of November, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
