A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
4 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
TO PERFORM THE 2007-08 VILLAGE CONCRETE AND
5 HARDSCAPE REPAIRS AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS,
CONTRACT NO. STS 08-01

WHEREAS, the contract documents, special provisions and specifications for the
7
furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform 2007-08 Village Concrete and
8
Hardscape Repairs, Contract No. STS 08-01, have been prepared and are on file in the
9
Public Works/General Services office and are incorporated by reference herein; and
10
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $275,000 are requested from the Village
11
Redevelopment Area Operations Fund to complete the project; and
12
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available to complete the project in the Village
13
Redevelopment Area Operations Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
15
California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the contract documents, special provisions, and specifications on file in the
18
Public Works/General Services office are hereby approved.19
3. That $275,000 is appropriated from the Village Redevelopment Operations Fund to
complete the project.
4. That the City Clerk is authorized to advertise for bids to perform 2007-08
Village Concrete and Hardscape Repairs, Contract No. STS 08-01.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 20th day of November, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, and Nygaard
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
