2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE FIRE MARSHAL
3 OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL TO ATTEND THE WESTERN FIRE
4 CHIEFS ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING AND PRESIDENTS
FORUM IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA FROM MAY 7-8, 2008

WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to
6
authorize out-of-state travel for the Fire Marshal to attend the Western Fire Chiefs
8 Association Board Meeting and Presidents' Forum; and
9 WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2007-2008 for out-of-state travel.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad ordains as
11 follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the out-of-state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with City
14
policy, for the Fire Marshal to attend the Western Fire Chiefs Association
10
15 Board Meeting and Presidents' Forum in Anchorage, Alaska, from
17 May 7-8, 2008.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 4th day of December, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
