2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
3 FROM THE NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY
4 GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY TO THE CARLSBAD CITY
LIBRARY AND APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS

WHEREAS, The North San Diego County Genealogical Society has donated
$2,500 to the Carlsbad City Library for the purchase of a two year membership to
7 Footnote.com, a website which makes available to its users a collection of primary
8 historical documents in a digital format; and
0 WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to accept this gift on behalf of all citizens ofy
Carlsbad;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
12 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council accepts the gift from the North San Diego County
15 Genealogical Society for the purchase of the membership and hereby
authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate the received funds to the
16 Library budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 11th day of December, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard
