1 RESOLUTION NO. 2008-035
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF OUT-
3 OF-STATE TRAVEL TO ATTEND THE TRANSFORMING
4 LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE IN GREENVILLE,
SOUTH CAROLINA ON JUNE 3-6, 2008
5 "
6 WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to authorize
7 out-of-state travel for eleven staff to attend the Transforming Local Government
8 Conference in order to present workshop sessions; and
9 WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2007-2008 Administrative Services

Special Projects budget and the CERMT budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
12
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
!4 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with City policy,
16 for eleven staff to attend and present workshop sessions at the
17 Transforming Local Government Conference in Greenville, South Carolina,
18 on June 3-6, 2008.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 12th day of February, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
