2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND PROVIDING
3 COUNTY AND CITY OF SAN DIEGO PURCHASED
4 EQUIPMENT TO THE CARLSBAD POLICE DEPARTMENT
FOR EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER USE.

6 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Police Department is eligible to receive Regional
7 Command and Control Communications (3Cs) equipment purchased by the County and
8 City of San Diego Regional 3Cs Project funded through the Homeland Security Grant
9 Program (HSGP) and Community Policing (COPS) Grant for emergency preparedness;
10 WHEREAS, the City will benefit from enhanced communications with other
11
agencies major incidents and emergencies;

14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
15 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
16 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
17 2. The Police Chief, Fire Chief or designee is authorized to accept Regional
18 3C's equipment.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 12th day of February, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
