HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-03-18; City Council; Resolution 2008-0721 RESOLUTION NO. 2008-072 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING CASH DONATIONS OF $500 IN SUPPORT OF THE 2007 FALL FESTIVAL SPECIAL EVENT AND 4 APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS. 5 WHEREAS, the Fall Festival special event was held on Saturday, November 10, 7 2007, at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park; and 8 WHEREAS, on February 4, 2008, the Parks and Recreation Commission 9 received the cash donations totaling $500 and recommended acceptance by the 10 Council; and 11 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the donations of cash totaling 12 $500 in support of the Fall Festival special event, made a part hereof; and 13 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support 14 of the organization that donated to this special event. 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of16 17 Carlsbad, California, the following: 18 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 19 2. That the City Council does hereby accept $500 in cash. 20 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to 21 appropriate $500 into the Special Events Trust Account (Acct# 149-4503-7899), for the 22 use specified by the donators. 23 // 24 // 25 // 26 27 " 28 // 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 18th day of March, 2008, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
