2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT-OF-STATE
3 TRAVEL FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PROTECTIVE
4 CLOTHING OFFICER TO ATTEND A CONFERENCE.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to
6 authorize out-of-state travel for the Fire Department Protective Clothing Officer to
7 attend the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) from April 10 -April 12,

2008 in Indianapolis, IN; and
9
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Fire Department Emergency10
Operations Protective Clothing Budget in the General Fund.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by City Council of the City of
13 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. In accordance with City policy, out-of-state travel is hereby authorized for
16
the Fire Department Protective Clothing Officer to attend the Fire
17
Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) from April 10 -April 12, 2008,18
19 in Indianapolis, IN.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 18th day of March, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
