A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
2008 ARAJV[AND SLURRY SEAL PROJECT NO. 6001 (08SS).

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it

necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to rehabilitate streets in accordance with the City's
7
ongoing Pavement Management Program; and
8
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
9
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2008 ARAM and
10
Slurry Seal Project No. 6001 (08SS), have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works-
11
Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and12
WHEREAS, there are sufficient Pavement Management funds available to complete the
13
2008 ARAM and Slurry Seal Project No. 6001 (08SS)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows:16
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.17
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the 2008 ARAM and18
Slurry Seal Project No. 6001 (08SS), on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department of the
19
City of Carlsbad are hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of the 200822
ARAM and Slurry Seal Project No. 6001 (08SS), in accordance with the plans, specifications,
and contract documents referred to herein.24

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 18th day of March, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
