CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
A CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISON SEWER INSPECTION VAN

WHEREAS, $162,000 was previously appropriated to the 2007-08 Wastewater
5
Operations Capital Outlay Budget for the purchase of a closed circuit television sewer
6
inspection van, and;
7
WHEREAS, three (3) sealed responsive bids were received on March 25, 2008 for the
8
purchase of the vehicle; and
9
WHEREAS, the best value bid for the purchase was submitted by Cues West, Inc. in the
10
amount of $149,773; and
11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:13
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase
order to Cues West, Inc. in the amount of $144,973.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of May, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
