CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY
5 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Lions Club has donated $1,000 to the City of
6 | Carlsbad for the Carlsbad City Library, and;
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Lions Club has specified the donation be used to
purchase materials for the visually impaired;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
AND APPROPRIATING A DONATION TO THE
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $1,000 from the Carlsbad Lions
Club, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby authorizes the
Finance Director to appropriate these funds to the Library' budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 10th day of June, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Packard.
