RESOLUTION NO. 2008-176

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS IN
FISCAL YEAR 2007-08 FOR PARK MEMORIAL BENCHES
4 AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS.
5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Public Works Parks Maintenance Department
6 administers a Parks Memorial Bench/Tree Program; and
7 WHEREAS, Ms. Niki Burgan and Ms. Stephanie Wick have each donated $850, in
8 Fiscal Year 2007-08, to the City of Carlsbad for the express purpose of purchasing park memorial
9 benches; and
I ° WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these donations, totaling $1,700.
II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
12 California, as follows:
13 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
14 2. That the City Council accepts the donations in Fiscal Year 2007-08 from Ms. Niki
15 Burgan and Ms. Stephanie Wick, totaling $1,700, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad.
. 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate $1,700 to the Public
17 Works-Parks Maintenance Operating Budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 24th day of June, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
