HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-07-22; City Council; Resolution 2008-2131 RESOLUTION NO. 2008-213 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO 4 ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD AND AVENIDA LA CIMA TRAFFIC 5 SIGNAL. PROJECT NO. 6307-1. 6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it 7 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct a traffic signal at the intersection of 8 Rancho Santa Fe Road and Avenida La Cima; and WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental of said project have been 11 prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are 12 incorporated by reference herein; and WHEREAS, said project was included in the 2007/2008 Capital Improvement Program; 14 and WHEREAS, the General Capital Construction fund includes sufficient funds to construct this project. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, 18 California, as follows: 19 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 20 2. That the plans, specifications and contract documents on file in the Engineering 21 Department of the City of Carlsbad are hereby approved. 09 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to 23 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of 24 the Rancho Santa Fe Road and Avenida La Cima Traffic Signal, Project No. 6307-1, in 25 accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents referred to herein. 26 /// 27 /// 28 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 22- day of July. 2008, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
