A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE DONATION
FROM CARLSBAD SENIOR CITIZENS' ASSOCIATION IN
THE AMOUNT ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000) IN
5 SUPPORT OF THE CARLSBAD SENIOR CENTER.

WHEREAS, the donation was received from the Carlsbad Senior

Citizen's Association to support the Carlsbad Senior Center, and
8
WHEREAS, on August 7, 2008 the Senior Commission recommended the
acceptance of a cash donation in the amount of $1,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support
of the Carlsbad Senior Citizens Association.12
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:14
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accepts the cash donation of $1,000, from
17 the Carlsbad Senior Citizen's Association.
18 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate
19 the received funds into the Senior Program Donations Account for use
20 specified by the donor.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 16th day of September, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
