2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD
FROM THE
SERVICES
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
3 FROM THE INSTITUTE OF MUSEUM AND LIBRARY

6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, wishes to accept
7 a donation of the Connecting to Collections Bookshelf and acknowledge the generosity
° and support of the Institute of Museum and Library Services; and
9 WHEREAS, the Connecting to Collections Bookshelf will be used to develop and
10
implement a framework for the long term care and maintenance of artifacts and
11
memorabilia in the Carrillo Ranch archives; and
12
WHEREAS, on September 15, 2008, the Parks and Recreation Commission
14 received the donation and recommended acceptance by the City Council.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
16 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
17 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
18 2. That the City Council does hereby accept the Connecting to Collections
19
Bookshelf, a fair market value donation of approximately $1,000.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of October, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
