CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO.2009-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING AN ALLOCATION OF $25,000 FROM THE
HOUSING TRUST FUND FOR NORTH COUNTY SOLUTIONS FOR CHANGE .
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California, has received a request for emergency funding from
North County Solutions for Change that will allow it to continue operating the Solutions Family Center
and other related programs; and,
WHEREAS, North County Solutions for Change provides a valuable service in the form of
homeless family shelters and programs to Carlsbad residents; and,
WHEREAS, the City has adequate funds in the Housing Trust Funds to accommodate the
funding request from North County Solutions for Change; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council allocates $25,000 from the Housing Trust Fund for North County
Solutions for Change to provide homeless shelter programs for families.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, held on the 6tb day of January, 2009, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council members Lewis, Kulcbin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
