A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE DONATIONS OF PRODUCT OR IN-
KIND SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,605 IN SUPPORT OF 2009
4 TEEN SCENE: BATTLE OF THE BANDS SPECIAL EVENT.

WHEREAS, the 2009 Teen Scene: Battle of the Bands special event was held on
7 Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Calavera Hills Community Center; and
8 WHEREAS, the donations of product and in-kind services were received to
9 support the Special Event, and
10 WHEREAS, on March 16, 2009 the Parks and Recreation Commission
recommended the acceptance of the donations in the amount of $4,605, and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support
13
of community businesses and organizations that donated to this special event; and
14
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:16
17 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
18 2. That the City Council does hereby accept the donation of $4,605 in
19 products and in-kind services as itemized in Exhibit 2.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of April, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
